‘Desert Line Group’ was incorporated in the year 2004 in Doha, Qatar. We began our business operations as a Manpower Supply & Human Resource Consulting company, foreseeing the increasing demand for skilled manpower for the fast-paced development of the built environment in Qatar. It is a matter of pride and fulfillment that we could build on this foundation, with just a handful of people, to transform into a multi-business conglomerate in a short period.
Since our inception as a corporate , we have strived to keep in pace with the ever-growing demands of the nation. Accordingly, we have diversified into the areas of Manpower supply, Civil Engineering, MEP, HVAC, Aluminium & Glass, Trading, machining & fabrication, Joinery, Real Estate, and Automobile spare parts.
Today, our manpower asset stands at 5000+ blue-collar and white-collar employees, mostly on contractual employment with major public and private sector industries and governmental organizations in Qatar.
We are actively involved in many megaprojects of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 stadiums, Oil & Gas Industry, Buildings & Roads, Power & Water, Infrastructure, Qatar Rail, and other developmental projects aligned with Qatar National Vision 2030. Desert Line Group is headquartered in Arkan building, Barwa Commercial Avenue, Doha, Qatar. Our corporate offices are easily accessible and are ideally located along the major corridor to the Industrial area in Qatar, where our production, fabrication, and warehousing facilities are sited.
Our well-appointed offices integrate all the eleven divisions under the group, apart from the functionaries of Strategic Planning, Group Sales & Marketing, Group Finance & Accounts, Group HR & Administration, Public Relations & Liaison, Legal and Information Technology. Fitted out with state-of-the-art facilities and the latest in Information technology, communication, and documentation, our offices provide a conducive environment for collaboration and teamwork and effective services.
Desert Line Group provides one of the best labor accommodations in the State of Qatar. We have 4 labor camps, which confirm to MME (Ministry of Municipality and Environment) regulations on-site selection, on-site layout, design and provision of living amenities for worker accommodation, and endorsed by the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy.
We have accommodated over 5000 of our outsourced employees across 2 labor camps in the Industrial area and 2 in the labor city. These camps provide Individual, communal and recreational spaces, Safety and security, Sanitary and laundry facilities, Catering facilities and potable water, Recreational, leisure, sports, and open space facilities, Healthcare, first aid and medical services, Access to purchase daily goods, Religious facilities, Emergency and fire safety facilities, and Transportation.
Catering to the tastes of different nationalities, we have different kitchens to provide Indian, Nepali, Kenyan & Filipino menus. For employee welfare we have provided free Wi-Fi Facility, Gymnasium, Basketball and Shuttle Badminton Court, facilities for Indoor Games, Televisions in the Recreation room, and Mess Halls, supermarket, laundry and even designated smoking zones.
The camps are managed by Resident Camp Managers, Camp Labour Welfare Officers, Security Officer, Catering Manager, Camp HR Manager, and Transportation Manager Etc. who are supervised by a highly experienced Sr. Camp Operations Manager. Other Planned amenities are Bank ATM, Barber Shop, Cyber Cafe, and Safety Precautions & Green Environment Steps.
Our Security Team is entrusted with the security of our premises, assets, personnel, and safety while detecting, deterring, observing and reporting illegal or inappropriate activities. Our team consists of personnel with prior experience in defense services, those who have completed Industrial Security training or, able-bodied candidates within our talent pool, having the right aptitude and attitude. We follow strict recruitment policies regarding education, age, physical fitness, temperament, and the background of the candidates.
Our security personnel, though from different nations like India, Nepal, Kenya, etc., form a homogeneous team, known for its discipline and professionalism. Leading them from the front is our Group Security in Charge, Mr. Usman Saafe, an Ex- Indian Army officer, with 11-years of meritorious service to his credit, and a decade and odd years of experience in Industrial Security, firefighting and safety, both in India and Qatar.
In accordance with the Supreme Council of Health requirements, Desert Line provides medical care within the accommodation. The Medical Clinic, conveniently located within the camp premises, is well-equipped and staffed to carry out emergency first aid, basic health surveillance and routine consultations for Workers and to consult on health-related work restrictions for individual Workers.
We have qualified and licensed resident nurses, licensed by the Supreme Council of Health and an experienced doctor for all medical services. The designated medical station is airconditioned and designed and registered in accordance with SCH requirements. Our Medical Clinic is equipped with all emergency life-saving devices like Automated External Defibrillator, Ambu Bag, Nebulizers, BP Monitors, Blood Glucose Monitor, Medical Oxygen Facility, Stretchers, Wheelchairs, etc. In addition, services of Visiting Consultants of various specialties are provided on scheduled dates
We are considerate of our workforce who hail from different parts of the world and have different food habits and tastes. We have employed qualified chefs, who can prepare a varied menu, catering to all appetites and tastes. Our Mess Hall facilities and modern cooking and serving units, provide a comfortable and homely environment for the workers to enjoy their meal in the company of their peers.
Our extensive Mess facility provides breakfast, lunch, and dinner for 5000 and odd workers, spread across all our labor camps, catering to Indian, Nepali, Filipino and Kenyan menu. The mess menu is decided by a joint committee, comprising of Catering Manager, Chefs, Camp Manager, and Camp Labour Welfare Officer, along with one worker representative per nationality. The food is then prepared by a team of 5 professional Chefs, Cooks, and support staff of servers and cleaners.
Desert Line Group owns and maintains a large fleet of vehicles, ranging from Cars, MPVs, Pickup trucks, Minibuses, and Buses. Transport& logistics services are planned and operated round-the-clock to deploy man, material, and food to different work sites across the country.
Six hundred and odd of our vehicles provide convenient, hygienic, and timely transportation to our staff and employees. Our transport and logistics facilities are managed by a competent team of professionals headed by the Manager Transportation & Garage, assisted by Transport Engineer, Transport Supervisor Coordinators, and Garage Foreman, to ensure 24 x 7 uninterrupted service.
Desert Line has its own full-fledged Workshop and Service Station to attend to repairs and maintenance of all the vehicles. Moreover, we have a dedicated team that sanitizes all the vehicles on a daily basis and carry out weekly vehicle wash, to ensure the health and safety of all the commuters.
